In honour of Remembrance Day, the Naramata Community Church will be playing some beautiful carillon recordings this Wednesday November 11 (before and around 11 am).
We as a community cannot gather this year at the cenotaph in Manitou Park due to COVID-19 event guidance. We hope that you instead enjoy this small offering, as we remember all those who have died in service to our country.
Our brief program includes:
• One-bell peal
• Eternal Father Strong to Save
• I Vow to Thee My Country
• 2 minutes silence
• O Canada
Our great thanks to carillonneur Roy Lee for the recording of his arrangement of “I Vow To Thee My Country” by Gustav Holst, performed November 11, 2014 on the Soldiers’ Tower Carillon at the University of Toronto.
Our special thanks to Jim Corbett who has sourced and compiled the recordings and will play them on Wednesday.
Please join us in listening and remembering. They gave our tomorrows, so we could have today. Lest we forget.
