Sept 7 Season of Creation begins – 2 events you can participate in

Good morning, the Season of Creation begins at Naramata Community Church!  As the sun rises on the mountains and the osprey perches on the highest tree, I greet you in the hope of Christ.
The Season of Creation is the annual Christian season of prayer and action for our planet.  Together, the ecumenical family around the world unites to pray, protect, and advocate for God’s creation.  Join your church family to celebrate the Season of Creation in our worship life and in in our community.
The theme this year is “A home for all.  Renewing the Oikos of God”.
Until October 4 we will be holding our planet earth, its care and our action on behalf of it, in worship and action.
We are very fortunate to have a very active environmental advocacy group in the South Okanagan, “First Things First”.  They are sponsoring two events this week that I hope you will make space for in your calendar.
The first is an online forum on climate change with our federal election candidates- tonight.  See the details for how to participate below.
The second is a climate rally, Wednesday morning in Penticton.  I am hoping we can have a group from our church who will attend this event together.  Please let me know if you would like to attend.  Email me at revlori@naramatachurch.ca.

Let us join together as we seek ways to care for Creation in the midst of climate change.  Together is better.

blessings on this day,
Lori
