Dear Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving! We are very excited to update you with our latest news!

We had a meeting of our congregation yesterday morning. Over 25 people were in attendance to consider a Report of the Search Committee (Ardee McKim, Jean MacLeod, Ian Fraser, and Karen Henderson). This committee has been charged with the confidential work and discernment of handling the applications, interviews, reference checking, etc. in our search for a new minister for Naramata Community Church for a term appointment.

All attendees heard the Report of the Search Committee, and voted to request that Pacific Mountain Regional Council of the United Church appoint Rev. Lori Megley-Best, effective January 11, 2021.

More information will be forthcoming about how we are going to welcome Rev. Lori into our beautiful village, so please think about this over the coming while.

Please pray for Rev. Lori and for all of us as a community of faith that we open our hearts and minds to each other’s ministry as we begin, in a few short months, this new pastoral relationship.

With thanks for all our blessings,

Gerry Anderson, Board Chair
On behalf of Naramata Community Church

Rev. Lori Megley-Best
